This site documents some of the activities of some of the Human Shields in Baghdad, Iraq, during the period 15-26 Feb 2003. We were largely comprised of the group who arrived in Baghdad on 15 Feb 2003, the largest single group of Human Shields to arrive at one time. We generally agreed that our primary goals were to "Stop the War" and help protect the Iraq people, but otherwise, we expressed a considerable diversity of opinion – John Ross, for example. The nominal mission of the Human Shields was to "shield" important sites in Iraq from possible US-UK attack.
